What can I put on the Uniform Display Case?
Our motto is “You Earned it, You Display it” – so you can decorate your
Uniform Display Case any way you choose.
With the way we have designed the Uniform Display Case, it allows you to be as close to
regulation as possible, but some items simply look better if placed in a
more symmetrical manner.
Our basic guideline is: If you are retired or ex-service displaying the
Uniform Display Case at home you can decorate it
any way you choose, whatever LOOKS BEST, if you are active duty and displaying
it in your official office or government facility it may be best to stick
to the regulations so you don't get critiqued by overzealous onlookers.
We provide the “Collar Display Area” and Display Bar” at the bottom and you
can put anything you want in these areas (again whatever LOOKS BEST!).
Some specific ideas to use for optional display items on your Uniform Display Case:

Military - On the Uniform
On the Uniform you can put everything you would put on your actual uniform:
- Patches, Pins, Medals, Nametag, Lanyards, Rank, Stripes. See our Detailed Instructions Page here
- You can also get creative regarding what you put on the Uniform if you like, or keep it strictly "regulation"
- Navy & Coast Guard can put Shirt Shoulder Boards on the Jacket for a unique look, see examples here
- Marines
- 1. Due to the uniform collar design, unfortunately there is no room for a Collar Display Area
- 2. There are special holes in the collar
of the Marines Display Cases to accomodate the screw type posts of the
Marines Collar Insignia

Police & Fire - On the Uniform
On the Uniform you can put everything you would put on your actual uniform:
- Patches, Pins, Medals, Nametag, Lanyards, Rank, Stripes. See our Detailed Instructions Page here
- You can also get creative regarding what you put on the Uniform if you like, or keep it strictly "regulation"
- If your unit has Shirt Shoulder Boards you can put them on the Jacket for a unique look, see examples here
*Note on attaching Police & Fire Badges:
The "Badge Fastener" image on the display is only for example - to attach a real badge there are two ways:
1. Remove tha Badge Clips from the back of the badge and attach the badge using double-stick tape.
2. Place the Uniform Display Insert "face up" on a hard surface and
push down hard on the badge to create an indentation in the foam
backing, you may need to cut out some of the canvas and foam backing to
get the badge to lay flat against the canvas. Then attach the badge
using double-stick tape or glue (or it may just stay there on it's own).
Over the course of a career in uniform - you collect many things that may
look good on your Uniform Display Case, if it looks good than use it if you
like.
Or keep it strictly regulation - it's up to you...
You Earned it, You Display it..
Thank You
